If you are a New York State licensed massage therapist looking for a career instead of a shift at a chain spa, read this carefully. Elite Healers Sports Massage is a clinical sports massage practice in Midtown Manhattan. We hire therapists who want to specialize in sports massage, treat real muscular issues, and grow inside a system built for advancement. We are not a relaxation spa. We work on athletes, runners, executives with chronic tension, and clients who pay premium rates because they expect results. If that is the kind of work you want to do for the next five to twenty years, we should talk.
We accept applications year round. We hire NY State licensed therapists only, or therapists awaiting licensing results within thirty days.
At Elite Healers Sports Massage, we’re driven by a commitment to excellence in sports massage therapy. Our mission is to provide exceptional care that boosts performance, speeds recovery, and advances the field through innovation and evidence-based practice. We foster a collaborative, professional workplace where therapists thrive, ensuring clients receive tailored treatments for their athletic needs. Continuous learning is at our core—we value professionalism, integrity, client education, and teamwork. If these principles resonate with you, Elite Healers could be your next career home for a massage therapist career in New York City’s competitive landscape.
We are intentional about advancement. Most spa jobs cap your earning potential the day you walk in. Our path is built so you grow.
Months one through four — Trainee Therapist. You start part-time while completing our weekly in-house training program. You learn our proprietary sports massage system, including how we treat runners, dancers, strength athletes, swimmers, and other sport-specific clients. You shadow, get coached, and begin treating clients under guidance.
Months four through twelve — Established Therapist a.k.a Brand Stndard. You expand to full-time, build your client base, and start operating independently with full SOAP note documentation. You earn pay increases as your skill and rebook rate grows.
Year two and beyond — Elite Therapist a.k.a. Specialist. You complete external continuing education in modalities like cranial sacral, lymphatic drainage, or advanced fascial work. You take on harder cases. Your hourly rate climbs.
Year three and beyond — Educator or Team Lead. Senior therapists who want leadership take on mentorship roles, train incoming staff, or step into part-time team-leader positions. This is where your career stops being a job and becomes a long-term professional path.
Experience sports massage therapy in action at a massage job in NYC.
A typical day is not five back-to-back sixty-minute relaxation sessions. Our schedule is built around longer, clinically focused treatments.
You arrive at our Midtown East clinic on East Fifty-Sixth Street. You review your day's clients before they walk in, including SOAP notes from prior sessions. Your first client is a marathon runner two weeks out from race day, focused on hip flexors and calves. Next is a finance executive with chronic neck and shoulder tension from Park Avenue desk work. After lunch you treat a CrossFit athlete recovering from a deadlift session, then a dancer working through a hamstring issue.
Between sessions you collaborate with the team. Every therapist here is treating muscular issues, so the conversation is technical, not small talk about which oil smells nice. You document, you reset the room, and you take care of your own body so you can do this for twenty years instead of three.
That is the day. Real work, real results, real bodies.
